CHILDREN'S MINISTRY IS CLOSED EVERY 3RD SUNDAY
We are excited to have an opportunity to share our ministry with your child. We believe your child is a special gift from God so we will provide love and care while your child is with us.
CLASSES
New Beginning – Toddlers: 1–3 years old We provide toddlers with a safe, secure and loving environment that helps lay a foundation in the knowledge of Jesus. Our precious children are entrusted to caregivers who will love and nurture them physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Showers of Blessings: 4 – 5 years old As children learn that God created the world, they begin to look for Jesus all around themselves through Bible stories, songs, crafts and interactive play. Children learn about the love of Jesus and make new friends.
Rays of Praise: 1st and 2nd Grade Children sing, play games and make cool art projects. They have fun developing Bible skills and building relationships with their friends.
Kids on the Rock: 3rd and 4th Grade Kids develop an ability to use the Bible and related reference tools, and respond by trusting Christ, obeying and sharing God’s love with others.
Son’s Worshippers: 5th and 6th Grade Kids develop Bible Study Skills, grow in Christian maturity and respond by serving Jesus in church and the community, demonstrating actions that reflect their love for Jesus.

Children's Ministry check in begins at 9:30 am and ends at 10:30 am.
Here are several important things to remember that will make your child’s experience with us enjoyable and worthwhile:
Step 1. We will provide a healthy environment in our classrooms, so we ask you to keep your child at home when you observe any of the following:
Step 2. Please put your child’s name on any diaper bag and its contents: plastic bottle, diapers, pacifier, etc. We will provide a small snack for your child. PLEASE NOTIFY US OF ANY FOOD ALLERGIES.
Step 3. Sign in your child on the registration form adding any special instructions. Our staff will give you a number card and a name tag/wrist band for your child. We ask that you please return it to children’s ministry immediately after service.
Step 4. All children cry sometimes when being left by parents. We understand and expect it. In most cases, crying stops a few moments after you LEAVE. If your child continues to cry after five minutes, we will contact you to report to Children's Ministry. Please use the main sanctuary doors for entering and exiting Children's Ministry.
Step 5. BITING is not tolerated at any age. If your child bites another child, he/she will not be permitted in the ministry the following Sunday.
Step 6. DISCIPLINARY POLICY: The Children's Ministry believes that an environment of fun and order allows children to be taught the Word of God with simplicity and understanding. When the children do not adhere to the rules of URCM, it can cause a disturbance to other children as well as the Holy Spirit. When this occurs, discipline must be enforced. We understand that discipline should go hand in hand with love and forgiveness, as God commands. It is imperative that the children exhibit Christian behavior, obedience, respect for authority, and respect for each other at ALL times.
Inappropriate behavior is defined as, but not limited to the following: being disrespectful to teachers, constantly disrupting service, writing and/or passing offensive notes, spitting, fighting and hitting, etc.It is extremely important that we have the support of our parents in the area of discipline. When children exhibit appropriate behavior, we are able to minister, teach and interact with the children on a higher level.
When a child fails to comply with the guidelines of URCM, he/she will receive "3 Warnings". 1st warning - the child will sit in a designated area in the room, 2nd warning - the child is excluded from free time or playground time, 3rd warning - the parent is retrieved from the sanctuary. After the 3rd warning, we will conduct a meeting between the parent, the Director of Children's Ministry, and the Youth Pastor to determine the outcome.
